2020 Rosato d'Amici
Rosato is the Italian name for rosé, which we make by harvesting a few weeks before full ripeness, then pressing quickly to yield a light, bright pink color.
Keeping with our love of blending Barbera and Sangiovese, we looked to source fruit from our growing partners in central Mendocino County to make this lovely rosato.
We applied a much softer pressing to the grapes which have kept the wine delicate and fully of sublte nuance.
Made completely naturally, as always, we kept it 'sur lie' (on the yeast sediments in the barrel) for five months, regularly stirring, to give it extra richness on the palate.
