About Us

Step into Our Story

Over three decades ago, we began our journey at DaVero Farms & Winery here in Healdsburg’s Dry Creek Valley AVA. Our adventure started with an olive oil odyssey, followed by a wine epiphany, and ultimately led to our full embrace of nature.

Farming for our Future

How do we do it? In 2008, we acquired a property that had suffered from decades of neglect and chemical farming. We took on the challenge of revitalizing the land, embracing a Biodynamic, organic and regenerative ethos. Our efforts transformed our approach to winemaking and farming, leading us to become a true living farm.

Winemaking

Located at the 38th north latitude, our climate is a perfect match for central Italy. In 2000, we planted Sangiovese and the rare Sagrantino to our inaugural vineyard, Hawk Mountain Vineyard, our “Montefalco”! Here is where our mindful, traditional winemaking began and continues to thrive.

“I’m going to plant this grape and make this wine.”

From Tuscany to Dry Creek Valley

Over three decades ago, we brought 800-year-old olive trees from Tuscany to the US. Today, we proudly cultivate over 4,000 of these exceptional trees and produce our own Extra Virgin Olive Oils. Learn about our process, and you can even buy trees from us—our Certified DaVero Clones!
