Crafted with high-quality fruit from the Biodynamically-farmed River’s Edge Vineyard, located near the shores of the Mokelumne River, between the bustling agricultural hub of Lodi and the base of the Sierra Foothills. On the nose, the wine features lofty aromas of ripe red fruits and wild berries, interlaced with fragrant hints of fresh tobacco, wild herbs, citrus rind, and rustic spice. In the glass, the deep flavors of ripe cherry, dark plum and black raspberry are layered with secondary notes of pomegranate, black olive, and spiced nuts. As the profile expands, these lush flavors are balanced with a velvety texture, smooth tannins, and a burst of vibrant acidity leading to a long, dry finish.
The end result is a well-made wine that is elegant, complex, and extremely user-friendly.
Food Pairings: Ripe cheeses, charcuterie, gourmet pizza, wild mushroom risotto, spicy sausage, roasted chicken with rosemary, grilled pork chops, and slow-cooked stews.
